Several months have gone by since you built our backyard deck and the time has given us the opportunity to both enjoy the use of it and to also evaluate the design. Our conclusion is that we would not change anything from your original layout. The deck has been functional for our use in every way and we appreciated the fact that you listened to our ideas and then formulated a plan which incorporated them into the final design.

Tim Fowler of Summit Development Group was part of a $25,000.00 project for my backyard early last summer. That is, a large part of the budget set aside for a deck plus hot tub, the deck being close to 66% of the total cost of this project. His part of this construction process was done in conjunction with several other trades.

Summit Development Group not exceeded my expectations but was within a few dollars of my estimated budget. There was very little material wastage that is acceptable within the trades, there was constant communication between myself and all the involved trades and the completed projects done within the target dates.

They deal in a “high end product” but will definitely work within your budget range. Summit Development Group is not afraid of customers getting quotes from their competition. I definitely got what I paid for. That is, Tim Fowler delivered what he said he would according to his contract and gives above average customer service following his completed work. That is, when a customer like myself requests it.

I personally set high standards for myself and Tim Fowler “walks the talk”. That is, he is an experienced professional tradesman and does what he says he will do.

I am personally not in the habit of doing such Letter of Reference for the trades. However, I am a true believer in giving credit where credit is due.

I have also developed a keen eye for quality work over the years with the various trades. I come by this honestly because both my father and grandfather were carpenters by trade. In fact, my grandfather was a cabinet maker by trade.

These days, anybody can call themselves a carpenter. In reality, all they really are is a general labourer. There are no standards within the trade and anybody can swing a hammer.

Tim Fowler of Summit Development Group certainly believes in the old and true methods of the trades. That is, the way the trades were learned over 50 years ago by my family. Furthermore, not claiming to be something they are not.
